The annual Gold Rush Festival kicks off with a concert on Friday September 9th at The MILL amphitheater featuring Rumours: A Fleetwood Mac Tribute.

The tour will take you to a few of Douglasville’s beautiful parks, the Douglasville Conference Center, and will wrap up with a presentation and lunch.

Join us on the front steps of the Douglasville Police Department on Saturday, September 10, at 11:00 am for our 3rd Annual Rally for Justice & Accountability. Come out to hear from Chief Sparks and other law enforcement leaders, elected officials, and other community leaders regarding our commitment to justice and accountability in the law enforcement profession.

This year, the CAC will celebrate the diversity of our community through a multi-cultural festival on September 10th from 11 am – 4 pm at the Cultural Arts Center grounds. In a world where sharing who we are and where we all come from is becoming the cornerstone to truly understanding our perspectives and paths in life, there is no better time to celebrate cultures and traditions. Enjoy the day through live performances, cultural authentic foods, vendors, and interactive demonstrations, our community contributed to create an authentic cultural celebration and learning experience.
The Multi Cultural festival features:
Recognition and tastings of authentic cultural foods
An “Artistic Living” area full of arts & crafts representing different ethnicities from around the world
Performances, offering a variety of styles and sounds
Interactive demonstrations from cultures from around the world
We will have an opportunity for each to create their own artwork with items provided on September 16th from 6pm -8pm. Come out and enjoy an evening of Painting with a Purpose: we will have snacks, games and music for each person to discover their inner artistic styles. The $5 fee is including supplies necessary for each art project.
